Felix Martinez

Assistant Agency Manager & Marketing Director

(305) 670-3799

Felix first joined the company in May 1991 and is an assistant agency manager and director of marketing for Equitable Advisors’ South Florida Branch.  He developed and currently supervises the branch’s recognized Client Retention Management (CRM) Unit, comprised of a team of financial professionals that provide service for thousands of clients.  Felix is also responsible for implementing individual and branch-wide marketing and civic marketing programs.

Felix’s December 2012 overhaul and rebranding of the branch’s client relations program to one of Client Retention Management serves as a company-wide role-model in client service and cross sales.  For over a decade – with his leadership and team of financial professionals assisting in servicing the branch’s unassigned (house) accounts – the rebuilt CRM program continues to break branch and company records by generating cross sales of over 23 million PCs (first-year commissions), averaging 2.4 million PCs annually for the past five years.  His program is instrumental in retaining numerous high net-worth clients, culminating in 2023 with the largest single case in the history of the South Florida Branch.  Accordingly, Felix has qualified for Sterling Group membership in the Elite Advisor Group (EAG) and has earned the company’s Centurion, Bronze Eagle, Circle of Excellence, and Hallmark awards for outstanding personal production.  Felix was inducted in Equitable’s Hall of Fame in 2024.

Felix is dedicated to supporting the South Florida community.  He had served on the board of the Institute of Child and Family Health (formerly CPC), and is a past board member of New Theatre (home of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize).  He also served on the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Healthcare and Bioscience Committee, which joined Equitable Advisors to expand the South Florida Branch’s successful Health Care Heroes® luncheon and recognition program, which Felix helped develop.  In 2002, Felix was instrumental in recovering and delivering the largest single grant in the history of the South Florida Branch - a $500,000 donation by Equitable Life Insurance Company to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts (formerly Performing Arts Center of Miami).

Felix is a 1990 Florida State University graduate and contributed to the production and writing of several cable and television programs during his stay in Tallahassee, Florida.  After graduating, Felix returned to Miami and worked as a free-lance script supervisor, music composer, and production assistant for local advertising agencies and video production companies.  He also provided marketing consultation to several small businesses to help expand their advertising, public relations, and lead-generating efforts.

Felix resides in Miami, Florida with his wife, Michelle, and their two grown children.
